Modernisation approach
We treat modernisation as a risk-managed sequence, not a slogan. Every playbook below reflects programming consulting work on real batch schedules, monoliths, and data tiers — adapted after we read your repositories.
Phase 1 — Technical assessment
We spend one to three weeks (scope agreed in writing) inventorying languages, deployment paths, integration seams, and operational runbooks. Deliverables typically include a dependency map, a candid view of test coverage, and a ranked list of failure modes that already hurt the business.
Phase 2 — Advisory sessions
Architecture choices — replatform versus refactor, eventing versus nightly batch, strangler boundaries — are argued with your engineers present. Sessions are time-boxed and billed per half-day or day, with notes you can circulate internally without marketing polish.
Phase 3 — Scoped implementation
When you are ready to move code, we take a thin vertical slice: one service, one report, or one integration path. Acceptance criteria are defined up front; we do not open-ended staff augmentation.

Who this is for
Organisations running revenue-critical software that predates container platforms, where rewrites were postponed twice already. Teams with at least one internal maintainer who can pair with us during assessments.
Who this is not for
Greenfield product builds, vanity mobile apps, or engagements where leadership will not grant read access to production configuration. We decline those early rather than deliver shelf-ware reports.
